Overview
Zamtel is looking for an Administrator – IT Service Desk to provide frontline support for staff across the organization. This role ensures smooth resolution of IT incidents and service requests, maintaining high service levels and contributing to a reliable and efficient IT environment. The position is key to sustaining customer satisfaction and continuous service delivery by acting as the first point of contact for technical issues.
Main Responsibilities
• Serve as the first line of support for IT related queries and issues raised by staff.
• Track, manage, and resolve incidents and service requests within agreed service levels.
• Ensure timely escalation and follow up to maintain operational continuity.
• Provide clear communication and support to users, fostering confidence in IT services.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of IT service desk processes and performance.
Required Qualifications and Skills
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Professional Registration: Membership with ICTAZ or equivalent professional body.
• Experience: 1–2 years in IT support, help desk, or customer service roles.
• Technical Skills: Strong troubleshooting ability, incident tracking, and familiarity with IT service management practices.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, customer service orientation, and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
