Overview
The Finance Manager – Zambia will play a key role in establishing and managing Mamoru’s FX trading operations in the country. This position oversees financial reporting, trading desk operations, and settlement processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and effective risk management. It requires a dynamic leader with strong financial expertise, operational discipline, and the ability to drive efficiency while supporting Mamoru’s mission of delivering innovative financial solutions.

Main Responsibilities
• Set up and manage daily, monthly, and year end accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee trading desk operations, monitor market movements, and provide timely market analysis.
• Ensure compliance with Zambia’s FX regulatory framework and internal policies.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency, security, and customer satisfaction.
• Manage settlement processes for FX transactions, including reconciliation, payment verification, and issue resolution.
• Liaise with banks, payment service providers, and external stakeholders to facilitate cross border payments and settlements.
• Monitor and manage risk exposure by setting limits, tracking positions, and reporting breaches.
• Maintain complete and accurate records of transactions, reports, and audits.
• Train and supervise staff, ensuring adherence to operational best practices.
• Stay informed on FX and securities market trends to support strategic decision making.

Required Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in FX trading or payments operations, preferably in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of Zambia’s FX regulatory environment and market dynamics.
• Proficiency in trading platforms, tools, and financial software.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
• High standards of integrity, professionalism, and ethics.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
