Overview
Lubambe Copper Mine Limited (LCML) is seeking a dedicated Education and Health Liaison Officer to coordinate and manage its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs in the health and education sectors. This position is vital for ensuring LCML's community programs are effectively implemented. The ideal candidate will be a passionate, self-motivated professional with a strong background in social work or development, who can build positive relationships with the local community.


Main Responsibilities
As an Education and Health Liaison Officer, you will be responsible for:
Managing Community Programs: Overseeing and managing key programs, including the scholarship program for students and the recruitment and payment process for unskilled community employees.
Community Engagement: Acting as a primary liaison with the community by sensitizing them on health and education topics through workshops, meetings, and informational materials. You will also maintain a strong, positive rapport through regular communication.
Program Monitoring and Collaboration: Monitoring progress on health and education infrastructure projects and collaborating with relevant government and non-governmental organizations to strengthen existing systems.
Administrative and Reporting Duties: Preparing detailed weekly and monthly reports, and maintaining an up-to-date database for both community workers and scholarship recipients.


Required Qualifications and Skills
To be a successful candidate for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
Education: A Grade 12 Certificate and a Degree in Social Work or Development Studies from a reputable institution.
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience.
Technical Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate fluently in Bemba.
Personal Attributes: Must be a self-starter with a passion for the health and education sectors. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively is essential, as are strong organizational and time management skills. You must be able to thrive in a challenging environment and use your own initiative.
