Overview
Lubambe Copper Mine Limited (LCML) is looking for an experienced and qualified Senior HR Officer - Employee Relations & Advisory Services to join their team. This crucial role is responsible for fostering a positive and productive industrial relations environment by ensuring a fair, just, and equitable approach to employee issues. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned HR professional with a strong background in employee relations, recruitment, and HR administration, preferably within the mining industry.


Main Responsibilities
As a Senior HR Officer, your key responsibilities will include:
Managing Employee Relations: Ensuring the timely and impartial resolution of disciplinary cases and grievances to prevent industrial unrest and uphold company standards.
Overseeing Recruitment and Administration: Coordinating the end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing new hires to managing terminations, in close collaboration with departmental heads.
Providing Advisory Services: Serving as a primary point of contact for employees, offering guidance on HR policies, procedures, and attendance-related matters.
Conducting Reporting: Preparing comprehensive weekly, monthly, and industrial relations reports to support HR operations and decision-making.
Handling General HR Tasks: Attending to employee queries, managing administrative tasks, and participating in relevant meetings, such as the hospital liaison committee, as needed.


Required Qualifications and Skills
To be a successful candidate for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
Education: A Grade 12 Certificate and a minimum of a Degree in Human Resources Management or a related social science field.
Experience: A minimum of five years of practical experience in human resources, with a strong preference for experience within the mining industry.
Professional Registration: Mandatory registration with the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM).
Core Competencies: Exceptional problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to handling employee matters with fairness and integrity.
