Overview
The Manager - Investment Back Office is a senior leadership role responsible for the development and execution of the section's strategy, budget, and operational policies. This position oversees all investment transaction funding, settlements, and processes to support the overall investment strategy. The manager is also accountable for ensuring the security and proper custody of all organizational assets and coordinating operations to deliver high-quality service to all stakeholders.


Main Responsibilities
• Develop and implement strategic plans, budgets, and work plans for the investment back office to enhance returns on member funds.
• Create and oversee the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure efficient and compliant back office operations.
• Monitor industry regulations, internal policies, and legal frameworks to minimize risk exposure and ensure compliance with IFRS, the NPS Act, and other relevant guidelines.
• Coordinate due diligence, transaction reconciliation, and the clearing of investment transactions to ensure accuracy and timely execution.
• Manage and resolve system issues, preparing and presenting reports to improve back office efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure the proper valuation of financial instruments, manage collateral, and collaborate with the Finance department to maintain accurate accounting records.
• Oversee staff performance and coordinate training to ensure the team possesses the necessary skills for delivering quality service.


Required Qualifications and Skills
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting/Finance, Operations Management, Business Administration, or an equivalent professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA). A Master's degree in a business-related field is a plus. Candidates must also have a minimum of five "O" Levels with a credit or higher in Mathematics and English.
Experience: At least five years of senior management experience in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Investment, or Fund Management within a similarly sized organization.
Skills: Strong leadership, strategic planning, and financial management skills. Expertise in investment operations, risk management, and regulatory compliance is essential. The ability to manage complex systems, coordinate cross-functional teams, and develop staff is also required.
