Overview
The Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) is seeking an accomplished Chief Corporate Services executive to lead its Corporate Services Directorate. This senior leadership role is responsible for shaping and executing policies, systems, and strategies that strengthen IDC’s operational efficiency and alignment with its mandate. As a member of the Management Executive Committee, the position provides strategic oversight across procurement, ICT, administration, and corporate communication while ensuring compliance, governance, and delivery of value-driven support services.
Main Responsibilities
• Provide strategic leadership in Corporate Services by aligning departmental policies and operations with IDC’s vision, mission, and strategic objectives.
• Oversee functional areas including procurement, ICT, corporate communications, administration, and facilities management to ensure operational efficiency, transparency, and value for money.
• Act as chief advisor to the CEO and executive leadership on corporate services issues, ensuring informed decision-making and alignment with statutory and regulatory frameworks.
• Drive efficiency and innovation through process improvements, automation, risk management, and effective cost control measures.
• Enhance IDC’s brand and stakeholder engagement through robust communication strategies and government/investor relations management.
• Support subsidiaries and group companies by strengthening oversight frameworks, internal controls, and capacity building.
• Mentor and coach senior managers, fostering talent development, employee engagement, and high-performance culture.
• Ensure a safe, supportive, and productive working environment while promoting strong governance, compliance, and ethical leadership.
Required Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Project Management, Commerce, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Relevant professional qualifications and active membership in a recognized professional body.
• Minimum of 10 years’ senior management experience in corporate services, operations, or a related leadership role.
• Strong leadership and strategic management skills with proven ability to influence at executive and board level.
• Deep expertise in procurement, ICT governance, corporate communication, and administration within complex organizations.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive change, manage risks, and deliver results under pressure.
• High levels of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
