Overview
Fraser Alexander Zambia is seeking a seasoned Senior Superintendent to lead the delivery of large-scale or multiple smaller projects with a focus on safety, quality, financial performance, and operational excellence. This role serves as a vital link between the Operations Manager and on-site teams, ensuring seamless execution of technical, commercial, and governance responsibilities. The position offers a dynamic opportunity to drive strategic project outcomes while maintaining compliance with industry standards and organizational goals.

Main Responsibilities
• Oversee full lifecycle project execution, from setup to operational delivery, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and sustainability targets.
• Manage day-to-day operations including planning, SHEQ compliance, productivity, resource allocation, subcontractor oversight, and technical quality.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Support contract structuring and tender processes, ensuring operational feasibility and compliance.
• Implement risk management protocols and ensure adherence to legal and contractual obligations.
• Foster strong internal and external stakeholder relationships across support functions and management structures.
• Define and maintain site-specific management operating systems, including performance metrics, reporting frameworks, and corrective action plans.
• Apply technical standards and client policies to ensure quality and compliance across all operational activities.

Required Qualifications and Skills
• BSc or BTech in Engineering (Mining, Metallurgy, Industrial, Civil, or equivalent).
• Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Registered or eligible for registration with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) and ERB.
• Advantageous: Qualification in Project Management or Business Management.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in process, production, or mechanical operations within deposition or remining environments.
• At least 5 years’ supervisory experience in reclamation or contracting, preferably at Superintendent level.
• Proven ability to manage labour, foremen, and plant resources effectively.
• Completion of the Tailings Academy Programme.
• Strong operational planning, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Medically fit in accordance with company standards.
• In-depth knowledge of mining, production, and tailings operations.
