Overview
Zambeef Products PLC is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Transport Coordinator to oversee daily transport operations, ensure timely deliveries, and maintain compliance with company standards. The role involves managing vehicle scheduling, route optimization, fleet availability, and cost control while ensuring safety and efficiency in line with organizational objectives.

Main Responsibilities
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily transportation activities to ensure timely deliveries and optimal routing.
• Schedule vehicles based on demand, deadlines, and available resources.
• Track fleet operations using Geotab, V-track, and GPS tools to ensure compliance with agreed routes and procedures.
• Maintain accurate transport records including attendance registers, truck logs, trip review sheets, and journey management documentation.
• Monitor vehicle performance, fuel usage, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Work closely with the truck log officer to ensure driver and vehicle availability.
• Identify underperforming vehicles and escalate utilization issues.
• Analyze routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness while managing transportation costs within budget.
• Provide training to drivers on safe driving practices and company procedures.
• Investigate and report transport-related incidents or accidents.

Required Qualifications and Skills
• Full Grade 12 Certificate.
• Diploma in Logistics and Transport (minimum requirement).
• 2–5 years of experience in transportation coordination, logistics, or related field.
• Strong computer literacy with experience in fleet tracking and routing systems.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and record-keeping skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with Zambeef products and the food industry is an added advantage.
