Overview
The Utilities Process Operator is responsible for the operation and monitoring of the utilities steam plant and the Biological Treatment System (BTS). This role is crucial for executing quality control checks, ensuring optimal plant performance, and maintaining compliance with both internal and external standards.

Main Responsibilities
• Operate and monitor the Biological Treatment System (BTS) to ensure peak performance.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of BTS equipment and regularly check process parameters such as pH, COD, and flow rates.
• Monitor the quality of influent and effluent water to ensure it meets all regulatory and internal standards.
• Adjust chemical dosing and aeration rates to optimize effluent treatment.
• Identify and report any operational abnormalities and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.


Required Qualifications and Skills
Education: A Grade 12 certificate is required, with an N3 in a technical trade being preferable.
Experience: A minimum of two years of experience, preferably in a brewing environment.
Technical Skills: Must be PC literate with proficiency in Microsoft and SAP.
