Overview
The Financial Manager will lead the Finance Department, overseeing all financial management, reporting, and compliance at Liuwa Plain National Park. This role is crucial for providing accurate financial information that supports strategic decision-making and ensures accountability to donors and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, audit management, budget planning, and team leadership within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.

Main Responsibilities
• Oversee all financial operations, including the preparation and timely submission of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Lead budget planning and tracking, ensuring all expenditures align with approved budgets.
• Manage and prepare for internal, donor, and IFRS audits to ensure compliance and favorable results.
• Enforce procurement procedures and maintain statutory compliance with all tax and employment-related obligations.
• Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the finance team, setting clear KPIs and fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.
• Conduct periodic site visits and financial spot checks to ensure adherence to financial procedures across all operational points.

Required Qualifications and Skills
• Education and Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CA) is a significant advantage. A minimum of five years of financial management experience, preferably in the NGO, conservation, or donor-funded sector.
• Technical Skills: Proven experience in audit preparation and management. Strong understanding of IFRS, donor compliance, and statutory tax obligations. Proficiency in financial systems like Serenic and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Leadership and Communication: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Must be capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
