The Required Skills for this Role Include:
• Managing broiler flocks, ensuring optimal growth, health, and welfare.
• Overseeing feed and water supply to ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
• Monitoring flock health, implement biosecurity measures, and manage veterinary care.
• Meeting production targets for weight gain, feed conversion, and mortality rates.
• Ensuring timely delivery of feed, chicks, and other essential supplies.
• Coordinating with hatchery and processing plant for chick placements and harvest schedules.
• Training, supervising, and motivating farm workers; manage labour schedules and task assignments.
• Monitoring and maintaining all farm equipment and infrastructure in good working condition.
• Ensuring adherence to company policies, environmental standards, and animal welfare regulations.
• Conducting regular audits and maintaining production records and reports.

The Required Qualifications are:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience managing broiler operations.
• Strong understanding of poultry nutrition, biosecurity, and disease control
• Membership of relevant professional association, if applicable.

The Required Attributes Include:
• Prior hands-on experience managing broiler operations
• Ability to Supervise and motivate farm staff.
• Strong decision-making skills under pressure.
• Attention to Detail.
• Communication Skills
