Position: Flight Operations Assistant
Number of Vacancies: 2
Contract Term: 6 Months (Probationary) 2 years (Full term contract)
Reports to: Dispatch Manager
Location: KKIA Airport (Lusaka)
Deadline for Submissions: 16th July 2025 at 17:00hrs
Start Date: 1st August 2025

RESPONSIBILITIES;

• Support, brief and assist the Pilot In Command and the Flight Dispatch Manager.
• Assist in the management of safety and security in Dispatch.
• Maintain the schedule with minimum delays.
• Collect, provide and file operational documents or data relevant to all elements of operational control.
• Report safety and security issues in accordance with the SMS manual procedures.
• Provide a co-ordination of flight control functions.
• Report and respond to late crew sign on and make plan to bring in standby crew.
• Be the focal point to collect and disseminate the following information;

1. Alert possible delays to Operations as soon as possible.
2. Communicate immediately any emergency situations.
3. Be familiar with and coordinate the emergency response plan.
4. Actively follow the flights and update operations on potential delays.

SKILLS;

• Strong Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Above average use of MS Excel and word.
• Familiar with local and international aviation regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS;

• Full Grade twelve certificate or equivalent.
• 6 months to 1 year experience in the aviation industry.
• Diploma in any aviation related course will be added advantage.
