TECHNOLOGIST – AUTOMOTIVE WORKSHOP
The New Apostolic Church Zambia, a faith-based organisation and an equal-opportunity employer, is seeking the services of an individual to maintain and manage its fleet of motor vehicles. The role requires monitoring, repairing, servicing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. The successful candidate will work under minimal supervision while aligning with established standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a Maintenance Management System (MMS) for the church’s vehicle fleet.
• Conduct vehicle tests to identify defects and recommend remedial measures.
• Undertake vehicle repair and servicing.
• Supervise and monitor the performance of mechanics in order to ensure standards of vehicle maintenance are strictly followed.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, technical drawings, and set engineering standards.
• Liaise with vehicle users to monitor vehicle performance and adherence to maintenance schedules.
• Manage the procurement and stocking of quality spare parts and consumables.
• Ensure timely response to breakdowns and emergencies.
• Provide technical expertise to users and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
• Promote innovation and cost-saving solutions within the section.<

Qualifications and Experience:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate (5 ‘O’ levels) with Credit or better in Mathematics and Science.
• Diploma in Auto Mechanical/Auto Electrical Engineering.
• Qualification in auto repair and maintenance is a must.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in road motor vehicle fleet maintenance and management.
• Must be a members of Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ).
